Welcome to The Church of Jesus Christ
What We Believe
As the name of the Church indicates, we believe in strictly following the teachings and doctrine of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught faith, repentance, water baptism by immersion and enduring to the end of life in the faith as required steps for an adult to be born again. Jesus instructed those who had repented, been baptized, and received the Holy Ghost to partake of “The Lord’s Supper” or Communion, participate in the ordinance of feet washing, and follow His teachings of love, forgiveness and endurance. Jesus also taught that the church should have ordained officers, namely: apostles, evangelists, and elders to minister and shepherd, teachers to instruct, and deacons and deaconesses to care for the needs of His people. There exists plentiful evidence in the Holy Scriptures that God blessed the followers of Jesus with spiritual gifts to edify the body of Christ and to magnify God. The gifts of the Spirit (i.e. tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, revelation, wisdom, as well as healings through anointing with oil, etc.) should be manifested within the body of Christ. Finally, since Jesus never paid His disciples, we firmly believe that the Church should not pay the Ministry, but rather, that they should labor and provide for their own needs.
In addition to the tenets of faith already mentioned, we also hold fast to these precepts:
Since it is impossible to outline every aspect of our church, please consider this a personal invitation to make inquiries and expect honest answers based in the Word of God. Further, we invite you come and worship with us. We are confident that many of your questions will be answered in addition to feeling the encouragement of the Lord’s Spirit. May God richly bless you in your pursuit of His truth.
